Wine Maker, Kirby Froese.
Kirby has spent over 15 years in the wine industry traveling the world from Chile, Australia to California fine-tuning the art of wine making. He has been a judge for the British Columbia VQA since 1999 and has won awards for his wines during his seven years working as a wine maker here in the South Okanagan Valley. His approach to our wines begins in the vineyard where he works closely with Gene guiding the growing season through Organic and Biodynamic practices.

2009 Sauvignon Blanc (Sold Out)
Normally we reserve our best varietals for our blends, but the 2009 Sauvignon Blanc stood out so well this vintage that we decided to set some aside for a single varietal. Three words best describe this one....crisp, elegant, and fresh. Your taste buds are going to love it!

2009 Rosé (Sold Out)
This 2009 Rosé is a blend of 95% Merlot 5% Syrah from Covert Farms Organic Vineyard. It is a full bodied Rose, dry with a fantastic ruby red colour derived from the minimal skin contact when pressing. It will be a hit with any BBQ menu or especially spicy food. Chill it and enjoy it all summer long!

2008 Amicitia White Blend (Sold Out)
2008 has got to be the year of the blends. We have blended Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Viognier. Aged them 4 months sur lies which has given this blend a crisp fresh layers of citrus with a full mouth feel. And the viognier adds a remarkable perfume on the nose.

2008 Rosé (Sold Out)
This has become a favourite in some of the top Vancouver Restaurants! Once again this is 95% Merlot and 5% Syrah. This Rosé is created in a traditional European style, full-bodied and bone dry. Pressed immediately after crushing and destemming with just enough skin contact to leave this wine the perfect rosé colour. On the palate you’ll find strawberry and hints of spice. This is a great wine for the summer BBQ. Serve slightly chilled.

2008 MDC 50 cases produced available through winery (Sold Out)
Michael Dunham Covert loved Cabernet Sauvignon. This blend of 50% Cab Sauv, 25% Zinfandel, 25% Syrah exemplifies the hard work and integrity that Mike was about. 100% organically grown estate grapes. This is a great tribute to his memory. The wine can only be purchased directly from the winery.

2008 Merlot (Sold Out)
Full bodied, great mouth feel with chocolate and berry notes. This merlot expresses the strong influence of the desert heat and the extreme temperature changes that the vine endures under the Canadian skies. This is the epitome of an Okanagan Merlot that only we can produce here in the southern most region of our valley. It is unfined and minimally filtered so decanting makes the perfect presentation!

2007 Amicitia White SILVER MEDAL (ah-mee-CHEE-tee-ah) - 91 cases (Sold Out)
Amicitia is Latin for friendship and represents the harmony of this blend of 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Sémillon and 10% Viognier. These varietals where fermented separately. Aged 4 months sur lies this blend with 30% in brand new American oak. 2007 Pinot Blanc SILVER MEDAL -170 cases (Sold Out)
Grapes: Sourced from a neighbouring property in which our 2006 GOLD medal wine was created from. This vineyard located on the same glacial terrace as the winery where the soil is predominantly sand. 20% aged in new French Oak for 6 weeks then blended to spend 4 months sur lies. 2006 Amicitia Red BRONZE MEDAL(ah-mee-CHEE-tee-ah) - 97 cases (Sold Out)
Amicitia is Latin for friendship and represents the harmony of this blend of 86% Merlot 14% Syrah. The grapes were sourced experienced growers along the renowned Black Sage Road and the Osoyoos area. Aged in 18 months in brand new and 2 year oak barrels. Layers of complexity frame dark red fruit components along with integrated tannins. This wine was unfined and minimally filtered and has the aging potential of 5 to 10 years. 2008 OFWS Bronze Medal Winner

Grapes sourced from Osoyoos area. 18 months aging in French and American oak. Beautiful plum, raspberry notes marry well and offer soft tannins. This wine was unfined and minimally filtered and has the aging potential of 5 to 10 years.

This is a knock your socks off big bold red! Complex blending of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Malbec and Merlot aged in oak for 18 months leaves this with layers and layers of flavour. Decant it now as it is unfined and unfiltered but really if you are patient you can hang on to this one for awhile!!

If there was a sovereign of the Pinot varietal family you know it would be Pinot Noir. It is known as a fastidious grape in the vineyard and very demanding in the cellar. Our 2005 release was outstanding and we waited for the next dynamite vintage; two years later we are excited to release our 2007. Patience and skill has brought out the finesse and complexity that Pinot Noir lovers understand. The grapes were sourced east of Oliver in the Okanagan Valley. Barrel aged completely in French oak for 11 months with 25% in brand new. This is a classic Pinot Noir you’ll find it to present characteristics of cherry, tobacco, slightly earthy with supple tannins. This is a truly elegant vintage enjoy! -

Initial baked apple and pear aromas introduce more complex aromas of melon, pineapple, and honey.

Our blend of Pinot Noir and Merlot has been created in a European style. Grapes for 3 Dog Red were sourced from growers in Oliver and the Osoyoos area. Barrel aged for 9 months, you’ll find cinnamon and cloves balanced with cherry and strawberry aromas. This light style of red is bright and fresh enough to go with seafood and even turkey, and it has the versatility to complement nearly all the trimmings of any celebration. -

Fermented cold in stainless steel with a tailored yeast. 20% of the wine was barrel aged in brand new French oak for 9 weeks prior to cold stabilization. This Pinot Blanc, “The Poor Mans Chardonnay†has been created in a big, full bodied style. Pear and Apple aromas precede well balanced varietal character on the palate. This wine was fermented completely dry yet maintains a soft luscious feel in the finish. Will pair well with duck, quail, chicken, seafood and any garlic driven dish. -

Grapes: Sourced from single vineyard along the Naramata Bench.
Merlot varietal character of plum and prune marry with cinnamon and black pepper. French and American oak contribute caramel and butterscotch flavours. This is a big wine, that is tightly knit and will benefit with decanting or patience in your cellar. -

[Next release: Fall 2008]Grapes: Sourced from a single vineyard at the north end of Black Sage Road in Oliver BC.
Fermented with tailored yeast in open top fermentors. The wine went through malolactic fermentation in oak. 1/3 of the oak was brand new French. 1/3 was American/French hybrid. 1/3 was neutral French oak. Wine was barrel aged for 9 months prior to bottling. This pinot noir exhibits classic burgundy characteristics. aromas found are full of earthy, leathery characters with typical varietal fruit aromas of cherry, plum, and blackberries. The palate has a brilliant varietal assail, full bodied mouth filling mid palate, and a long satisfying finish. Will pair well with duck, pork and red meats however is right at home with BC Salmon. -
