Description: Enjoy a tremendous view and learn about conservation holdings and a variety of flora and fauna as you hike to one of the most spectacular settings in the Okanagan. Learn about the cultural significance of this site to the Okanagan (Syilx) people and some of the important berries and plants that are food and medicine. Leading the tour to The Nature Trust of BC’s McIntyre Bluff property will be Carl MacNaughton, South Okanagan Conservation Land Manager, and Richard Armstrong, Traditional Ecological Knowledge Specialist. This is a strenuous hike for physically fit people and bird and plant checklists will be available for sale at the beginning of the tour. End the day tasting a selection of wonderful wine courtesy of Dunham & Froese Estate Winery.

You will enjoy a personal tour of the 600 acre Covert Organic Farm & Vineyards where you will hear the history and evolution of their family farm celebrating 50 years. You will discover the glacial terrace, various soils types and incredible view of the 500 meter high wall of granitic gneiss, shot through with thin layers of quartz and other mineral veins called McIntyre Bluff that the vineyard and winery is nestled next too.
This event includes a private winery tour and tasting with award winning winemaker Kirby Froese.

Oct 5 Festival of the Grape
Held in Oliver this is the largest outdoor wine tasting in the Valley. Hosting wineries from all over. The afternoon includes grape stomping competitions, live music, food vendors and whole fun area just for kids.
